Ācennan is the initial release of instrumental blackened death metal project Ex Cinere. Written with the intention of being an expansive, esoteric, and linear soundscape, Ācennan is comprised of blackened torrents of dissonance, somber interludes, post-rock atmospherics, and melodic elements, both abstractly dark and intricately harmonized. The piece is constantly evolving, winding through many passages, creating a vast and immersive soundtrack designed to captivate and inspire the listener’s imagination.

Ācennan is dedicated to my teacher, my closest friend, whose wisdom and guidance has provided the insight, discernment, and understanding necessary to find the way through the obstacle.
